Utilizing a motion offense that is tough to scout and based on defensive reads makes your program difficult to defend. This style of play provides players with confidence and gives them something to look forward to because they know what will happen next. When this occurs, your offense has an edge.

In this excellent instructional coaching video, Coach Todd Simon showcases the in-depth details of one of the most efficient offenses in today’s collegiate game – a system called ‘The C-Game Offense.’

With all the reads, triggers, actions and different sets featured within this 5-Out and 4-Out Continuity Motion Offense, your players will become aggressive offensively and they’ll love coming to practice every day to work on new tactics that they can use to frustrate opposing defenses and force them to scratch their heads at how to guard your team!

C-Game Offense: Philosophy & Execution

Possessing a distinct offensive culture sets the tone for your team. By creating a style of offense where players are excited to come to practice each day and work within an offensive system that gets everyone involved, it gives them something to look forward to.

In creating this offense, Coach Simon explains the pillars he used to define his team’s offensive goals and the strategic rule he developed for holding players accountable – including things such as, tracking key offensive stats (like 12 turnovers or less each game), making more free throws than opponent attempts and crashing the boards in all situations to out-rebound your opponent.

All of these elements are staples within Coach Simon’s ‘C-Game Continuity Motion Offense’  and are based on developing an offensive style of play that requires players to read defenders and draw upon multiple options they can use to put opponents on their toes.

Next, Simon showcases an offense that begins from a 4-Out, 1-In set up and demonstrates how to initiate the action with a high-post entry, explaining how all of the options seem almost endless.

Coach Simon explains how the point guard can create action on either the 2-man side or the 3-man side to dictate how your offense can begin and then details three main actions out of a high-post entry – including:

1) corner screen into a high ball screen,

2) a screen away and

3) split cuts or a flex-screen action.

Each of these three actions makes your offense dynamic and tough for defenses to guard!

C-Elbow Actions & Sets

Coach Simon then shows off a highly effective set called ‘Elbow,” which utilizes a high ball screen that provides your post player with the opportunity to roll-and-replace to attack the paint.

Out of this initial action, Simon explains how to use different triggers to continue your actions. On the 3-man side, you can incorporate a flare cut, a back cut or a pin-down screen.

On the 2 man side, he shows you can incorporate a quick pitch, ball screen or an action that the NBA’s Golden State Warriors love to use – a ghost action that incorporates faking a ball screen and hitting a corner shooter for a 3-point shot. All of these actions are based on different ball screen reads.

No offense is complete unless you have a few entries and sets to get that quick hitter. In this segment, Coach Simon demonstrates how to use different actions, such as ‘Iverson,’ ‘Horns’ and ‘Pistol,’ to create mismatches anywhere on the court.

In an offensive series he calls the ‘Phoenix Series,’ Simon explains how to initiate things with a double-stack action that’s designed to get your best shooter or post player an easy bucket.Coach Simon also covers ‘Isolation Sets’ out of a ball-screen, clear-out that allows you to attack the rim or get a post feed. These actions force your opponents to spend extra time scouting and prepping for any number of your actions, rather than focusing on the overarching strategy that they need to use to beat you.

If you are looking to take your motion offense to the next-level, then this is a must-watch video! Coach Simon unveils all the secrets you need to harness this high-powered motion offense – an offense that your players will love!

Customer Review: 5 Out of 5 Stars. ‘Terrific video! Coach Simon spends time clearly going over each read and trigger, so that you can take the concepts and easily teach them to your own players!’
