UNF’s Matthew Driscoll is known as a coach who possesses a laser-like focus when it comes to paying attention to the details of the game.

Coach Driscoll brings his vast knowledge and coaching intensity to the floor to emphasize how the little things make the biggest difference with your team’s performance and how attention to detail can improve execution in all phases of the game.

Driscoll takes you through a variety of drills and coaching points to help emphasize the importance of the small details and how improving each area of expertise will lead to more overall success in the win-loss column.

With daily attention to the ideas and innovative insights that Coach Driscoll reveals in this valuable on-the-court instructional coaching presentation, it provides you with the means to ‘fine tune’ your team’s on-court engine – allowing for better overall performance and improving the ability to win the close games in pressure situations.

Top 10 Mistakes Coaches Make & Competitive Warm-Ups

Coach Driscoll begins his presentation by presenting what he calls the ‘Top 10 Mistakes Coaches Make During Their Coaching Career.’ With clear examples filled with plenty of details, Driscoll sets the tone for presenting specific areas of focus in coaching that often play the biggest role in tuning up your team’s on-court engine and improving performance.

This informative section flows directly into a showcase of Coach Driscoll's daily competitive warmups segment – a daily warmup for practices that focus on high-percentage, 2-point field goals with shots taken inside the arc.

Coach Driscoll provides two variations of the warmup segment to highlight and emphasize why he stresses layups and 3-point shots based upon his definition of shooting range and percentages.

Improving Ball Security & Invigorating Your Primary Break

In the next segment, Coach Driscoll places an emphasis on taking care of the basketball and making what he defines as ‘quality passes’ in half-court, full-court, and transition situations where you have a number’s advantage. Showing terrific examples like ‘Lakers’ Transition’ and ‘Heat Transition,’ coaches will quickly see how these concepts fit in with Coach Driscoll's philosophies on high performing teams.

Coach Driscoll ends his presentation by sharing his primary break and explains how you can take the components of your own primary break and turn them into a daily ‘1-Minute Passing Drill.’ As the drill is developed on the floor, Driscoll rattles through a variety of passing situations in transition and explains how these concepts build the fine details of an effective primary break.

It's an extremely strong segment that allows coaches to quickly fine tune their own primary break – or completely install a primary break from scratch.

If you’re looking for solutions to eliminate player mistakes and improve your team’s on-court execution, as well as take an introspective look at yourself as a coach and how you can do better, then Coach Driscoll is your guy, and this is a must-see instructional video!
