Each drill and skill that the Coach Miller locks in on provides an innovative way for you to develop your team across all positions.
Dribbling, Passing
Coach Miller begins with a dribbling routine that builds multiple ball-handling skills while also conditioning your players (and utilizes the three-point line) in unique and innovative ways so that you can perform this routine on both ends of the floor.
Continuing with the skill development, Coach Miller then showcases a workout that improves each player’s strengths as a passer. All of the ball handling and passing drills are high energy and ideal for all positions and all skill levels.
Pressure, Pivoting, and Passing
Coach Miller explains details of a terrific ‘Man-In-the-Middle Pressure Defense Drill’ – which actually works as a dual-purpose drill that also builds your players’ pivoting and passing simultaneously. Miller ends with his ‘Two-Feet Scoring Progression’ which is a dynamic, skills workout that is extremely detailed and worth the purchase of this video by itself – breaking down multiple moves your players can use off of two feet to score in the lane and around opposing defenders.
Each move in the ‘Two-Feet Scoring Progression’ is shown in detail, highlighting key moves such as ‘step-through,’ the ‘pro-hop,’ the ‘Jimmy Butler,’ just to name a few. This is an ideal progression that can be implemented at many levels.
Coach Miller ends with the ‘Pinball Drill’ - emphasizing ball movement and quick passing on the perimeter to attack the basket and create scoring opportunities. Miller adds a competitive twist to end the drill when a chosen amount of points are scored.
If you are looking for ways to build upon your player skill-development components in your practices, either on a day-to-day or in-season basis – or even as an off-season training approach – then this is a must-own video!
