By showing different actions with the ball from different spots on the floor you can start to ingrain the movements and reads necessary for advantage basketball. The ‘Drive, Kick, Extra’ drill will get multiple shots and multiple reps for players playing off penetration and ball screens.
Creating the Advantage

Coach Shrewsberry talks about how to read the nail defender to create closeouts and force the defense to make decisions.
Reads on Offense
The ‘Moment of Truth’ drill will help players start to make better reads in a 5 on 5 setting. The defense gives an on-ball advantage, and you can start it from any spot on the floor. The objective is to get the advantage and keep the advantage.
